Quilt - Til - You - Wilt
July 17th, 2010
Georgi Shalhoob taught a wonderful block ( Four Play )
that was sewn
into many different patterns. We had around 30 people there.
The pot luck was a great success. Boy can we make good food !
Georgi gave out a prize for the most improved, the most
accomplished, and a booby prize for the least accomplished. We
will have pictures in the Chatter. Thanks Georgi for a great
class.
Three different blocks to choose from.

This is my Quilt Till- You -Wilt project. K. Farris.
A tote big enough to put a cutting board or large quilt in. I made it
without a pattern. I would love to post yours.
this is the square Georgi taught.

Check out the Charity page for the Guild's new Ronald McDonald
quilts project. The last time we made quilts for every room
was 1997. We know individuals have donated quilts but this is so
that the rooms can have a more cohesive look with matching bed spreads.
The quilts need to be large enough to fit a queen bed as a bed spread.
Smaller blankets are always appreciated. So far we have Hearts,
Stripy and Tulip design for some of the rooms.
Contact the web master to indicate your circles' design. Please have
yourquilt donations ready by the October Main meeting.

12 for 12
Twelve for Twelve is a project
for the whole guild. It coaxes us to finish unfinished projects
and complete new ones. We must finish 11 items in a twelve month
period to be eligible for a $25.00 gift certificate from the guild to be
used at any of our local quilt stores. Many of the quilters send in
their projects to be viewed in our 12 for 12 Gallery. Check it
out!

Blue Star Moms are asking for...

Christmas Stocking for
our Service men and women. Anyone can donate hand made and purchased
stockings. They must be large enough to stuff in lots of goodies.
Look on this web
site for a drop off in your area. We have a pattern for any one who
wants to make some.

This is a year long project.
